Doug and I flew into San Fran to visit some friends, see some sights and prepare California for the arrival of my family.
Doug and I landed in San Fran and used taxi to get to our hotel. It was a holiday weekend (Labor Day) so the traffic was extra intense.
We stayed in Fisherman’s Warf and walked all over the place.
The following day we headed to Pixar Studios.
Doug’s college room mate, Alex, works there currently.
He was gracious enough to give us a tour of the grounds and public areas. We met him for lunch on a Friday – and let me tell you…it was delicious! They have an amazing restaurant/cafeteria.
Right when you walk into the main building there were a few friends we all recognized…
We had to take a photo with “the lamp”.
Just past the main entrance…the food is on the left near the tables.
Leaving Pixar….
They have SUPER intense security. Background checks, etc.
Here is how lucky we were…you have to KNOW someone who works there to get a tour. You cannot just walk up/pay for a tour. Thank you again Alex H!
Side Story: there was a moment when we were all standing there talking to Alex H and I happened to look at my brother and this is what I saw. I grabbed the camera and took this photo. It still cracks me up. Very uncommon sight.
I feel we could do a whole post on “what is happening in this photo” blog! If you want to comment, feel free!
Love and Hugs, Lizzie
