Hey there. It is getting kinda hectic here. All good things.
The blog will be back September 15. (Unless I find some magical time, but honestly I have been looking for magical time for decades.)
All my best to you and yours.
Love, Lizzie

While we were in Memphis, Doug’s family surprised him with a cake!
BG helped Doug blow out his candles:
Then we headed out to the indoor/outdoor room to play with glow sticks and hit the piñata!
The next morning we headed out for brunch at Hogs and Hominy! It was so incredibly delicious!
Later that day we left Memphis . It was a fun, quick visit! Thank you for having us DJ and Steve! We loved seeing everyone!

Doug and I headed up to Memphis for Bailey’s 2nd birthday party the first week in July.
We got up there late July 4th, visited for a few minutes and then headed to bed. The next morning, we were greeted with this sweet face!
Uncle Doug’s job was to keep the bubble machine full!
Every time she would see the camera she would say “cheese!” even if it was just sitting on the table.
We took a few videos…well, actually BG took a few
and then Uncle Doug took over.
Once everything was set, it was time for BG to make her grand debut for her birthday party!
She looked adorable! After we ate and partied, it was cake time!
Then she got to open all her presents! I have a bunch of photos of this adorableness, but I really wanted to share her opening her diamond from Doug and I.
BG, I know you had such fun! After presents, we headed to the pool and played for hours outside!
BG, you are very loved! Happy 2nd birthday!

Back in May we started renovating our house. I just wanted to send a huge thank you to all that helped!
Yeah. Sooooo. I might have leaned on wet paint…
Not sure what is up with Janice and Sarah….
Prospector photo….of course Doug did not stop working.
Thank you again to Janice, Sarah, Andrew, Ashley, Mom and Dad. You guys are amazing. I love you all!

P.S. We are still working on the house. If you want to help us with the siding, let me know!
Months ago Ashley saw that New Orleans was holding their very own International Cat Video Festival. We decided we wanted to go. 1. To see the crazies. 2. To be the crazies.
Ashley bought tickets and we patiently wanted months for the special day to arrive. – June 28 at Noma.
When the day finally came, we got up (went to spin class) and got ready for the 1 pm showing (which we later found out was sold out!). We got there around 12:30, parked, noticed the stage and all the tents. We headed straight into Noma to get our seats.
We walked inside and we were asked if we already had tickets, which we did and they showed us to the auditorium. We got seats near the front (3rd row. We are serious.) We snacked on a cat cookie and got ready for the show.
Before the hour long video started, I took this video of Ashley:
Note: While she is talking photos are flashing on the big screen of cat photos taken and submitted from Nola cat lovers.
As you can hear the crowd gets excited when they see at cat photo they submitted. It was so funny. We giggle and giggled.
The show was started and this is a short example of videos they showed:
After the video, we headed out and enjoyed the festival.
And there was a photo booth where we dressed up as….you guessed it…CATS!
We had a great time making fun of ourselves and admiring all the cat items.
It is possibly one of the silliest things we have bought tickets for, but we already said we were going next year AND we were submitting photos and videos.
We are such cat ladies. Thank God we are already both married.

Here is our collage for the 2013/14 years. Descriptions below.
June 2013 – In Healy, Alaska while visiting Alex. Doug and Alex had been out at a trivia night and Doug came back to the hotel room a little drunkie.
July 2013 at the Chef’s table at Commander’s Palace for Doug’s Birthday.
August 2013 – I was at the O’Henry Hotel in Greensboro, North Carolina and Doug was at home. I was out of town on training so we google chatted and took these photos.
September 2013 – At the Shack.
October 2013 at Adobe in Hammond – eating lunch with my family.
November 2013 – outside the Shack. The butterfly plant had bloomed so hard it has hanging down everywhere.
December 2013 – after sushi dinner at Taste of Tokyo in River Ridge.
January 2014 – Outside the Shack (under the same butterfly plant)
February 2014 in the bathroom at the Shack! We were decorating toilet brushes for the Tux ride so we thought the bathroom was the place to take the photo. Doug is actually sitting on the toilet! ha!
March 2014- At our indoor volleyball league game.
April 2014 – In Riomaggiore, Italy (Cincque Terre)
May 2014 – Our 2 year anniversary at the Shack! We had gone to eat at McClure’s BBQ and have gelato. We forgot Cinco so we took this photo when we got home.
