I had so much décor for Ashley’s bridal shower! We got there around 10 am to set up even though the shower started 1 pm. These awesome ladies helped me set up the whole event.
We used a private room at Delmonico and the room looked awesome.
I feel like the room looks like a birdcage so it went perfectly with the theme!
The cake was adorable and delicious! It was made in Lafayette and brought in by Darelle.
The birdhouses looked awesome! The bottles looked awesome! We did awesome.
One neat item used was the cage in the center of this table (below). This cage was used in the long extinct restaurant Turci’s that was owned my our great grandparents. They were opera singers from Italy that came to New Orleans to perform. After some time they opened Turci’s and served authentic Italian in New Orleans. They had an opera singing parrot that lived in that cage. It now hangs in my house in honor of my great grandparents.
Another special item on display was a bridal centerpiece that was used at our mother’s bridal shower also at mine!
Once the room was set, we all got dressed and hung out in the bar until the party officially started.
Finally it was time to let Ashley see the room!
I think it is what she wanted and she was pleased!
We Facetimed Julianna in! (She could not make it because of the weather.)
We had a great time!
Melissa came in town to surprise Ashley!
Present time!
The bridesmaids gave Ashley her gift! Honeymoon cash!
As the afternoon wrapped up, we took a bridesmaids photo
or two…
Ashley, I hope you had a blast! I sure did. Sadly, no. I can’t throw you a shower every weekend, but I would if I could. :)
I love you very much and you deserved all the work we put into this shower.
Love and Hugs, Lizzie
So cute! Everything!
