One of my favorite days of the year finally came! December 7 was bake day at Gay’s house!
The history of (my involvement of) bake day can be found here: 2012 and 2011.
This bake day amazing. I had a lot of quality time with Gay and QP as we did not have many visitors this year.
QP made her traditional 1000 batches of Chocolate chip cookies while Gay and I made 9 or 10 different types.
Just look at this happiness:
QP’s cookie mountains…
Freezing our chocolate drops of many kinds:
Grammy stopped by to enjoy the fun…
We took our traditional fast food break for lunch. Uncle Johnny ran to Wendy’s and Rally’s – what? ITS TRADITION!
Then back to work to finish.
We did have a minor fail with an automatic cookie press. It was an adventure.
This first one is my favorite! Toffee bars.
It was a fabulous day. I absolutely love bake day each year.
This is my favorite photo at the end of the day…
It shows all we have done!
The fruits of our labor: Triple Chocolate Clusters, Toffee Bars, Salted Caramel Butter Bars, Chocolate Cherry Almond Crisps, Coconut Shortbreads, Oatmeal Caramel Bars, Peanut Butter Squares, Chocolate Cherry Shortbreads (new and yummy!), Coconut Shortbreads, spritz and Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies. (I am pretty sure I forgot a few types in this list!)
I would say that we were quite successful!
Momma #2 and QP, Thank you (again) for having me! I LOVE bake day.
Love and Hugs, Lizzie
