2013 Crawfish Boil and Alex’s going away!

Doug and Shawn hosted their annual Crawfish boil in mid April. They did a great job as the bugs were delicious and the company was better.

I got there early to help out and was put on Samantha duty! Lucky me! I took her for a walk in her stroller and got her to fall asleep for a little while. By the time I got back, things were really rolling.

 

People started arriving around noon. My family came early as they had to bring Alex to the airport for his flight to Alaska. Alex moved to Alaska to work at a brewery called 49th State Brewing Company in Healy.

Here he is with the family eating a traditional Louisiana meal before he moves to frozenland.

Then it was Samantha’s turn to be the star of the show. It was her first Crawfish boil!

We ate, drank and enjoyed some quality time…

I did not get pictures of everyone who attended. That will be my goal for next time.

After the party ended, we cleaned and hung out for a while. We were all well fed.
This picture is proof that doug always does the dishes…even at the boil!

Jay + Katie!

Weddings rock! Weddings rock even more when they are outside, the weather is PERFECT and it is in front of a fabulous fountain. Well done Jay and Katie!

We visited with Alex Harvie (he did the painting at our wedding) for a while and he painted us in their painting! I must admit I like how tall he made me :)

Then we got to steal the bride and groom!

Then hung out with some of our bestest friends…

After some awesome dancing and good times in the photobooth, we had to say goodbye!

SABRINA IN TOWN and a Piñata picture…

Sabrina came home for her spring break from Abu Dhabi. We had the honor of stealing her and bringing her to New Orleans for 2 days. It was awesome.

First we celebrated by eating the AMAZING cake I stole from Benjamin’s birthday party. (Stacey – it was so good we did not even let it completely defrost before we killed the whole thing.) 

We played Super Mario on the Wii and had a blast. Before the night was over, we took a picture with the Pinata as it was April 5! We giggle so hard, but I can’t remember why.

Then Doug and I try to take a picture with just us two and the pinata, but Sabrina could not handle it.

So we tried again, but you can tell I was crying from laughter. It was such a great night!!!

Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Sabrina that night, but its ok. We laughed enough for a few years that night. Thank you for coming to see us. We love you. One last picture to share with you…one quality one of Sabby. Enjoy!

Sentinel Launches!

I usually do not talk about work on the blog, but a few weeks ago we had a huge announcement that affects my day to day life. After 15 months, one of my favorite products is back on the market: Sentinel! We had a big launch party and the whole nation heard the details together. It is a very exciting, amazing time.

Janessa in town AND DATE NIGHT!

We had a quick, awesome visit with Janessa a few weeks ago. She was in town visiting her family and we snuck her away for dinner at Izzo’s and frozen yogurt…

Additionally, our date night for April was planned for the time Janessa was in town. 

This date night was a date of our choice. The notes say there were no rules except the picture rule and journal rule, so we decided to break the rule that it had to be just me and db.

It was a fabulous date night and we got to spend it with one of the gift givers! We were so lucky. We only have one more date night folder left! It is amazing how fast time flies.

Thank you Ashley, Andrew, Janessa and Matthew for the date folders. You guys rock! Thank you Janessa for making time to see us on your quick trip in town. We love and miss you.
