This toast was given at Doug and I’s rehearsal dinner from Courtney:
When I very first met Elizabeth Peyroux,
I wasn't quite sure just what to do.
She was dressed as a kissing booth with big ugly chomps,
Outside of the J-School at a Halloween tailgate romp. But then we climbed up a tree and friends we would be,
On ski trips and farm trips and that infamous time in Tennessee.
Pinkness, I double, yeah-yeah, and that whole NIPPLES!?! business,
Lizzie and I share many fun memories that don't make much sense.Nights at the Bulldog, football games at LSU,
She even deemed herself little sis to my only one true.
Weddings, parades, NORC, and New Year's Eve parties,
She has most recently become "aunt" to my little boy Riley. Then at Coconut Beach playing volleyball in the sand,
Lizzie met a boy named Doug, who finally asked for her hand.
The planning and preparations are now all over and done,
And they will walk down the aisle on Saturday for two to become one.So sit back, relax, and know that your big day is almost here,
When we will laugh, cry, dance, and of course cheer.
I wish you all of the best in your new life together,
Finding joy in each other, now and forever.
This toast was one of many for the evening! It is so funny and true. I AM SO LUCKY.
Thank you Courts! LOVE YOU!
Love and Hugs, Lizzie
Love you, too, LPb!
