First of all, one of my bridesmaids, Courtney, has an awesome family. They are absolutely wonderful and have extended an invitation for me to assist in their family cookie day for the third year in a row.
My job is to assist Ms. Gay (Courtney’s mom) as she bakes 15 different types of cookies to give out in her annual Christmas cookie gift box. It is an honor to be invited back to bake because that means you actually helped her. The whole event is right up my alley. I am very good at being told what to do…:)
I am also a stickler for rules. I follow exact directions and appreciate things looking pretty and perfect.
When I arrived at Cookie Day, I was given the most wonderful gift from Ms. Gay and QP (Courtney’s aunt/Gay’s sister, Paula)…A T-SHIRT with their loving nick name for me on it:
Can you read it???
I was given this affectionately used name on my first baking day experience!
Once the t-shirt was officially given, it was time to live up to my nickname!
The kitchen was full of people working on all counter space available! It was so much fun. QP made chocolate chip cookies, her regular, and Ms. Gay made everything under the sun. I always have a blast at cookie day… this was no different. Well, a little different…Riley was running around this time! :) Last time he sat in the bumbo and watched us run around.
It is like a little cookie sweat factory :)
Above is Bean and I! Good thing he can’t read yet…
Below is the freezer after we were done! (This picture is from Courtney’s camera and she said there were four more tins on the top shelf too!)
Great job QP, Ms. Gay, Grammy, Jen, UJ, Courtney and the cookie bitch! ha.
To the Hanby/Devlin/Schaneville clan, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your baking day and to grow so close to your family. I love you guys!
Love and Hugs, Lizzie
