You might have heard a bit about Doug making his wedding band from a silver half dollar, but I will show you him actually doing it.
Doug asked my mom for 2 silver half dollars from the year she and his mother were born, 1953. They were actually born 2 days apart in December!
Doug started hammering the coin down and it was LOUD. I could hear it through the wall and outside very well. 
He is almost done with the first ring and will start working on the second one in a few months. Pretty cool!
