The year the Saints won the Super Bowl was an amazing year. Sarah, Sabrina and I were so inspired that we decided to dress up for Mardi Gras in 2010. Like, seriously dress up. “Do it big or go home” style.
We decided to dress as flying pigs. We purchased all pink clothes, made pig noses and hand painted, glittered and feathered our wings. See the results below:
We had so much fun dressing up we decided to dress up again the following year. After much discussion we decided to pull from idea given to us by the picture below:
WE WOULD BE CHICK MAGNETS! It was brilliant! See below for the amazingness that ensued.
After two amazing years, it is time to start tossing around ideas for the 2012 Mardi Gras season costume. Here are the requirements:
- Can be tailored to each personality.
- Looks good with lots of clothing or a little bit. (sexy vs. conservative)
- Can wear in warm or cold weather. (can be layered)
- Looks good as an individual or group costume.
- Must have part of the face covered to create mystery.
- Must be hand made. No costume store bought costumes allowed.
- Must be clever and fun.
- Be appropriate for men or women.
If you have an idea, let me know. We are currently working on a few, but there will not be a decision made for a few months.
Love and Hugs, Lizzie
