On the same night as last post, I decided to ask Amanda.
Asking Amanda all depended on when I would be able to see her. As Amanda lives out of town, getting her in person is harder to do. Her book arrived first and I had been holding on to it for weeks. She decided to attend the restaurant club and I planned to ask her that night at dinner.
Similar to Courtney, I had the waiter deliver the book to her during dessert. If you know Amanda, you know she is a softie and has a huge heart (aka she was going to cry). As soon as she opened the book she said, “You are going to make me cry!” I agreed as I knew it would. (Amanda has a huge heart and it leads her 99.9% of the time.) She is very sentimental and just looking at old pictures of us made her tear up.
She looked through the book and when she got to the last page she was crying pretty hard. She said “Yes! Of course”, when she got to the bridesmaid question. She stood up and hugged me the tightest hug I have ever received.
The History:
Amanda and I met as LSU Ambassadors during college. We were fast friends and when she graduated from Flight attendant school, I traveled to Dallas to see her graduate. I was her first “buddy” flyer (if you don’t know what that is – flight attendants are given the opportunity each year to name a buddy to fly with them the whole year) and we traveled together. We went to Orlando, Baltimore (twice) and had some serious fun.
Even though we lost touch for a little bit a few years ago, we are still best of friends. Every time she is in Nola for the night, I am there. We actually spent Valentines day together this year in Whole Foods and it was fantastic! I love my girl.
Love and Hugs, Lizzie
