Charlie (my awesome boss) gave me a book called “The Happiness Project”.
I am still in the middle of it, but I wanted to share one tip I learned. In one of the chapters the author mentions a hugging study done on a group of people. When they hugged for more than six seconds they felt happier than before. Some release of endorphins or something .
Starting last Saturday, DB has been giving me hugs that last for more than 6 seconds and and I admit I feel happier. Who knew? Just a few extra seconds can make you feel all schmoopy and happy.
I just wanted to share this little bit of information that has affected my daily life. Maybe it can affect yours also?
I will give a full book review later – once I am done. So far, I love it so be prepared for a positive review.
